California Notice at Collection

This notice is provided to California residents at or before the point of collection, as required by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

Categories of personal information we collect

  • Identifiers — email address, account ID, IP address.
  • Customer records — nickname and profile picture.
  • Internet activity — pages you view on Interplate, plates and comments you post, likes and dislikes, reports you file.
  • Visual information — profile pictures and license-plate verification photos you upload.
  • Commercial information — records of Interplater Pro purchases and donations (transaction confirmations only; card data is processed by PayPal).

Purposes of collection

  • To operate the site: authenticate you, show your posts, run search, verify plates with AI, generate cartoon plate art.
  • To secure the site: prevent abuse, enforce bans, review reports.
  • To communicate with you: email verification codes and important account notices.

Sensitive personal information

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA (such as government IDs, precise geolocation, or biometric data). Please don't post that kind of information on the site.

Retention
